Hostile and demeaning. She should have never been a counselor in the first place. I left our first session feeling worse about myself than I did when I first got there. I wish I could file a report and have her license revoked permanently before she does lasting damage on somebody else.
I was referred by my Employee Assistance Program after struggling with a loss of faith in people and society. After reaching out to Dr. Scranton by phone, she replied with the text message, "Sorry I don't have any space for EAP cases now." In a culture where people already feel stigmatized for seeking mental health care, telling a person you don't have time for them because they're just an "EAP case" is damaging and cruel.
She has a very hostile disposition. There are obvious issues that she needs to work out for herself if she wants to continue to see patients.
