Friendly and efficient staff.
There is no good reason whatsoever for the lab to take this long. This is what happens when you put people in a job that have no hustle. I watched one of the techs take 13 mins to order a handful of test. This is a very high volume position. Its mind blowing how long this process takes. Unbearably slow; arrived at 7:45 and although everyone during the visit was very nice, I waited an hour for a simple blood draw. This is not unusual - I have consistently found all Sentara's Charlottesville locations extraordinarily slow compared to other providers in Charlottesville. Their administrative procedures seem much slower than with other providers, and they also seem understaffed. Such slow service I arrived at 7:10 for a quick blood test. I’m still sitting here at 7:48. They finally registered me at 7:29. Lots of staff members here but no sense of urgency or efficiency. Website was not clear about the location of the lab. It showed a photo of the Outpatient Center but it’s actually at the Main Hospital 7;51 and I’m still waiting.
