Having lived here many years, I've been a patient at all the local hospitals and general care facilities. Marshfield is the best medical care in the Stevens Point area from my experiences.

Went to the emergency room in agonizing lower right abdomen pain. From the moment I arrived the staff treated me like a moron. They did nothing to treat my pain. They said “unless the tests show major organ issues we are not here to treat pain”. They misdiagnosed my issue. Said it was menstrual pain. They sent me home with nothing and said to take Tylenol and use heating pads. I knew something was wrong so I went to aspirus ER. I was here for two days and had amazing care. From the start the nurses and doctors here were amazing at getting me what I needed to feel better. Everyone was so kind and great at their jobs. My room was kept very clean and they also checked in on me and asked if I needed anything.

Dr. Kent is the worst ER doctor I’ve had to deal with. Instead of actually doing his job and doing scans for a lump that shouldn’t be where it is on my body, he decided to not do any work and just said “I think it’s ……” and basically ushered me out the door. Saying “I think it’s …..” and not doing scans and tests to confirm or deny will get someone killed. He’s lazy and just there for the paycheck.
