I always have a good time at Marsha's minerals the owner and his wife are always super helpful and always both help us unload my rocks as well as giving me a super fair price for my agates and petrified goods. Definitely recommend!!
We visited Marshas Minerals and Rocks in Los Molinos recently. Marsha and her husband John were very welcoming, friendly, accomodating, and knowledgable. They had a great wide variety of rough and tumbled minerals and rocks. They had deep knowledge of minerals and lapidary which they were willing share and advise from. I highly recommend this rock shop.
Lots of gems (literally and figuratively) to be found at this great rock shop. The proprietors are super friendly, and the place is obviously a labor of love. One of the best 'mom & pop' rock shops I've visited - and that's perhaps the best type of rock shop. Worth a quick detour off I-5 - beyond the shop itself, you'll go through a pleasant corner of the northern Sacramento Valley.
The owners, John and Marsha were great. I learned a lot from John who is very knowledgeable. John's favorite item to polish is limb cast petrified wood and he has many specimens to see the range of color and crystal formation.
