The work performed was acceptable, but following the completion of the job, we communicated that we needed a few days to travel to the property to inspect the work before paying the final (50%) invoice... which is certainly common for home contractors we've used over the years. The work was completed on a Monday, and we communicated we needed to travel to inspect the completed work, but by Friday we were threatened with a lien on our property for non-payment (when they already had 50% of the total due)!
