I stayed at the resort for five nights over the Fourth of July weekend. Including taxes and resort fees, the cost averaged nearly $700 per night. At that price point, I expected exceptional service and comfortable accommodations, but unfortunately, my experience fell well short of those expectations. What a fantastic property! Checking was a breeze. We arrived quite early knowing that check-in was not until 4pm but we received a text at 11:30am that our room was ready. Great well-appointed room on 14th floor facing south. We were grateful for very efficient AC since outside temps exceeded 100 degrees during our stay. Awesome balcony, frig, bedding extra towels and washcloths! As a Marriott member, full disclosure: We had 3 rooms, group of 7 guests, traveling with two elderly guests as well. Mind you, we've stayed at several other resorts, never had any other issues. Unfortunately, this resort made things difficult when they could have been avoided altogether. At the time we booked our trip, we were told wifi, parking and all access to the 3 resorts (which are all connected) were included for the Marriott, Embassy & Cavalier guests. We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort. The location is beautiful, the oceanfront views are amazing, and the resort has a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights of our visit was the excellent service at the pool. Angelina, who was taking care of the towels and chairs, was truly outstanding. She was friendly, attentive, hardworking, and made sure guests were comfortable and well taken care of. You will get what you pay for. Self parking is good and it comes with daily fees including the two beach chairs and other activities which is kind of expensive if you don't use them. Nice place if you are willing to spend. High class.
