My Mother and I toured this facility yesterday. I really enjoyed meeting LaShawn (sorry if misspelled). I appreciated the quaintness and the large square layout where residents could walk around as well as the few residents we briefly met. The lady with the walking stick was delightful as well as the lady who let us into her apartment! We are still checking out places but I must give a shout out and five stars to LaShawn who represented experience, professionalism, humor, knowledge and joy! My grandmother-in-law was in Marquis Place for roughly one month in October 2024. I'm writing this to educate people that are trying to find their loved one the proper place for their condition. First, I don't think she was properly evaluated. That was mistake number one. She was a 2-3 person assist (because of some recent falls at a skilled nursing facility) when she moved into the memory care unit. No one told us that there were only 2 caregivers on the nightshift for roughly 20+ people. She has dementia and couldn't remem... read more
