I stayed for 38 days here including 2 Hospital stays. I found the staff were excellent, especially CNA Mylee & CNA Nancy. Others were very good. Rooms & bathrooms were cleaned in A.M. Custodial staff especially good. Found food to be excellent. Besides salt & pepper, they used other seasonings. Food was way better than bland hospital food. Choices of juices, hot cereals, cold cereal, yogurt, Chef special daily, with options of toast, eggs, hashbrowns. My mother was taken there after hip surgery and was repeatedly tested for COVID and TB while at the facility. She ended up getting COVID a week after coming to the facility. Before getting COVID my mother would walk as much as she could because she wants to go home. The staff told her to go back to her room and walk there. She is sharing a room with someone and that person now also has COVID. My mother came here to recover from hip surgery. Not to be someone’s test subject.

This facility is a hostile work environment, they do different things when state is in the building versus state is not in the building. Such as leaving the dirty utility room door open when state is not in the building, and specifically telling us that we had to have it closed when we were being surveyed by the state. The final straw for me was being required to work Covid patients without them providing proper PPE specifically no face shields. As an agency certified nursing assistant, and a current accelerated bach science nursing student.... I arrived with the unit full of a dozen cases of Covid, but fully undisclosed prior to my careful acceptance of the shift. I made no error, it was not disclosed. As such, I declined to work, and walked out, unwilling to not have transparency as terms of my service. I was penalized by the agency app and then barred for working for a week, with loss of income.
