Loved it! I really loved living at the Marquis. The staff is great (thanks for everything Lori), the grounds are beautiful, great amenities and the apartment plans are so great! The location is just perfect, right in the corner of the George and 75, you really can't beat it.
Richardson Renters Beware..DO NOT MOVE HERE! Beware. Do not move here. We were supposed to move in Aug 31 yet when we got here with a loaded truck the apartment was not ready. We had to stay in a Hotel for a week until apartment was ready. When we moved in nothing that had been promise had been done. More promises were made. Staff is sweet as apple pie till you actually expect to do what they guarantee. Terrible place I definitely NOT RECOMMEND this place. All looks nice until you actually get into the apartement: everything is old, cheap material and not clean. Way too pricey for what it is. Maintenance is terrible Pests are a constant problem, The pool area on the week-end is littered with cigarette butts, dirty cups and food The fitness area is a joke, all machines worn, no dumbells between 5lbs and 50lbs! Beautiful environment but not responsive management office, too noisy, old buildings, awful mailing system for packages We have been at Marquis at Waterview for 8 months. We like the floor plan, the view, and the small yard of our unit. Also, the surrounding area is very beautiful. We have great access to the UTD campus and a grocery store (Tom Thumb is right next to the complex). Great neighbors and office/maintenance staff! The complex is fairly quiet and well kept. We only moved because of a job opportunity, otherwise we'd still be there! We were in Apt. 1924 for 1.5 years, which had a great pool view and you could see if the gym was busy or not from the balcony. Every maintenance request was completed by the time I'd get home from work the next day. Laura is the best patient lady I've ever seen! It's been an great expirence living here!
First let me start with a positive, the staff is very nice and polite. Now the negative and my biggest headache. Since I have moved in I have had issues with the air. After several complaints and several trips from the maintenance men, I have been assured and reassured that everything is running perfectly. I 100% disagree. The air is set on 70 (per their recommendations) the temp when I get home at 5pm is 81. It fluctuates between 81-88 depending on whether I cook. God help me if I cook! Worst Experience. Don't select this place. I am a current Marquis resident and I want to share my experience so that others don't make the mistake of selecting this apartment. Well, to start with the place has a great location and is well built. But, where it goes horribly wrong is the maintenance and the support from the leasing office.
