I’m now afraid to go back to the hospital or even seek medical care. I went through a surgery that was unnecessary and should never have been performed. In addition to the pain caused by my original condition, I now have to live with the suffering from this unrelated surgery. If a patient refuses to agree to a procedure, why would people work together to pressure or intimidate that patient into accepting it? What is the purpose of treating patients this way?
I suffer from a serious dry eye condition. For treatment, I chose the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary (ME&E) - a clinical department of Massachusetts General Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. In choosing ME&E to treat my condition, I could not have made a poorer choice. I should have heeded the warning flags from the beginning.
