I decided to send a gift of firewood to my father for his birthday last year and again this year. I found Mark on yahoo! yellow pages and found out that he only accepted checks, not credit cards. I needed the firewood to arrive the next day but I was not local so could not get him the check in time. He graciously offered to deliver the firewood and just trust me to send him the check.
