AWKWARD EATING WITH ROUND & SQUARE TABLE INSTEAD OF JUST ONE ROUND TABLE - Went there @ 4:30 pm Sat to avoid crowd. Seated @ a regular round table. Party of 5 ppl, we ordered our usual banquet menu for 6 ppl for 8 courses. Server told us our table was small to accomodate all the dishes so she pulled a small square size table next to the round table, I suggested a solution and pointed to her the other round table ( a bit bigger size ) - asked if we can just move there. Childhood Favorite I have been coming to Mark's since I was a little girl and I have always enjoyed it. The dimsum is delicious (go early on Sunday's to beat the after-church crowd). The service is fairly good, and I think they remember and are especially friendly to returning customers. The atmosphere is pretty loud and kind of ghetto, but homey.
Great review, but I never find the right dish here. I ordered the duck and was not impressed, not to mention just how queezy my stomach felt later. Not sick, just over-indulged. Next I tried the clam sauce with black bean and it was a soupy mess. I have heard that the baby pork is phenomenal as is the dim sum, but I haven't seen it. I think that if you have traveled in China, or are there with someone who is Chinese, you can eat very well for a very nice price.

Mark Duck House serves the best Cantonese Dim Sum in Northern Virginia. The flavors are full and the selections are many.

Hong Kong style dining At times, the restaurant can be crowded. It is best to go during the off hours. The dim sum here is wonderful, but the servers tend to be a bit pushy. The duck is great along with the spicy squid. The waiters are attentive and are eager to please. The food here is reasonably priced and worth exploring.
best restaurant to go – Great variety and seasonal fare. Service is excellent. We have tried the rest in the area and nothing is close in variety, quality and service.
