When I visited Markham House, I was struck by how warm and welcoming the community feels. The staff genuinely cares about the residents and goes above and beyond to make them feel at home. The building is clean, well-maintained, and filled with natural light, which adds to the positive atmosphere. I loved seeing the residents engaged in activities—they seemed happy and well-supported. If you’re looking for a caring place in Portland, Markham House is worth considering.
Had a wonderful opportunity to work with Airene, the executive Director at Markham House. It is such a cute community, with great activities. Talking with an agent, she said her client loves living here and really likes the food.
Caregivers applying beware! I had a phone interview scheduled for 1:20pm today and while I received a 15 minute reminder that my interview was coming up, they never called. I texted and emailed them, but heard nothing back. So, don't waste your time, energy, or hopes when applying with this company. Response: Thank you for the explanation, but it seems I wouldn't have received it had I not left my review. Good luck to you
Markham House in Portland exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff's warmth and professionalism created a welcoming environment for my grandmother - she received exceptional personalized care. The facility is very clean and well-equipped and my grandmother enjoyed the meals and activities. Markham House offers everything needed for a comfortable and fulfilling lifestyle. I highly recommend it as a top choice for assisted living in Portland.
Great place to work with a wonderful, caring staff. Food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is light and cheery. The Residents are wonderful and deserve the best- which they are receiving at Markham House!
