SENIORS: Went to the Markets at Shrewsbury on Thursday 1/5/2016 since it they had 10% discount for seniors. We drove all the way from Baltimore. We purchased items from various vendors and realized that we didn't ask for the senior discount. Three out of four vendors honored the discount when we returned to their areas. However, the older lady at Bird-In-Hand would not honor the senior discount for the items we purchased from them; even though there is a sign on their counter indicating it. Husband and I went yesterday,we made the trip down 83 from the Harrisburg Area. Very clean and everything looked very fresh. The price of the produce was a little high.But I'm sure we will be returning. Have my eye on a beautiful piece of furniture I saw yesterday.
I love going there because it reminds me of the bird in hand farmers market in Lancaster county. Even though they are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, year round they have the days when the bird in hand farmers market has their winter hours. I love the breakfast buffet it's all Amish cooking. Which i love.
Great place w quality items, delicious food and nice people!
Really good food...Prices a little high on bakery items and produce.
