As an RN with 25 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with many great, some not-so-great, and some absolute horrible, physicians. Dr. T- as I told him I would call him, saved my life a year ago. I went into septic shock from a severely infected gallbladder- that had gone "unnoticed," by others. Every step of the way- as in over 2.5 months and a couple of weeks post surgery- he was there. He knew I was afraid, yet not once hesitated to answer my questions and calm me. The best bedside manner- ANYONE could ever ask for. He was there IMMEDIATELY when my heart rate (on the regular floor/post ICU and Step Down)- went up. Dr. Mark Tarakji recently performed robotic surgery on me. Not only does he have a wonderful bedside manner but he is brilliant. He made us feel so safe and comfortable, which me being a nurse, is hard to do. Working with many surgeons I can honestly say he is the cream of the crop. Crystal Vernon
