I've had the privilege of being a patient and dear friend of Dr Mark P. Gold for over 4 plus decades! He saved my life back in 1982 by diagnosing peritonitis when no other doctor could. I saw Dr. Gold as a young woman in my mid-twenties. I had a scary result from a pap smear and had to go in for a biopsy. Dr. Gold didn’t take the time to explain the procedure, and I didn’t realize going into it what exactly was happening, until a nurse explained. It was one of the worst medical experiences I have had- it felt like I was getting pushed through.
I had the most terrible pregnancy on the planet. Hyperemesis with 30lb weight loss. Incompetent cervix with cerclage placement and cholestatsis of pregnancy. There is not another doctor I would rather have had take care of me. Thank you Dr Gold, Rosa and the beautiful RN on board. I appreciate everything you guys did for me and my now big boy!
I have only positive things to say about my experience with Dr.Gold. There were complications with my pregnancy and from the start Dr. Gold was professional, kind, caring thoroughly attentive and everything I could have hoped for in a doctor. While his bedside manner may be formal, I trust him implicitly and am grateful for everything he has done for me and continues to do. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Gold has been my OB/GYN for over 25 years. Delivered two of my three children and both of my granddaughters. In addition to being a conscientious and phenomenal diagnostician, he is a brilliant surgeon. He saved my life (more than once) and my daughter's. His office and staff are super professional and courteous. Phone calls are returned promptly. He has a very calming demeanor and takes care to explain every procedure.
He conducted my pre-exam interview in his office with the door wide open and asked medical and sexual history questions while strangers walked by. Halfway through, I closed the door and he responded, there's not usually anyone back here. So I guess this is how he upholds doctor-patient confidentiality. My exam lasted 4 minutes, of which 3 were a breast exam and the other minute was the most painful, violent pap smear I've ever received. I am still bleeding a day later his rough care.
