His compassionate, caring and calm demeanor are his strongest traits. I am a colon cancer survivor having been successfully treated while living in another state. When returning to PA, I wanted a doctor I could trust implicitly, Dr. Johnston is that doctor. His reassurance after each procedure that all is cancer free, is what I live to hear!!!

Dr. Johnston is an excellent doctor; he takes time to listen and I feel that he sees me as more than another patient. When I leave his office I feel as though I've been heard and that he will provide the best care to me that is available to him. He's a busy man, and very intelligent with an appreciative sense of humor. He is our "go-to" for gastric concerns and my husband and I highly recommend Dr. Johnston. (His CRNP, Julie Callender, is great, too!)
I recently saw Dr. Johnston for the first time for a condition that has been plaguing me for years. He's the first doctor to listen to me and understand that my symptoms are real and the test results prove it. These results have been sitting in my file for four years and no other doctor bothered to explain them to me. He took time to listen to my problems and gave me a plan of action. I highly recommend him to anyone having issues with GERD or any problem specifically related to the esophagus.
