Dr. Mark Iguchi and his team at MedStar Franklin Square quite literally gave me my life back. Before I got to Dr. Iguchi, I spent a long time being dismissed and pushed through “conservative care” that did not help—and in some cases made things worse. I tried the usual options (PT, multiple medications, and an epidural steroid injection). PT caused severe flares and became intolerable. Dr.Iguchi is brilliant and amazing. I had an anterior cervical fusion.He was very informative and never made me feel rushed even when I came in before my surgery and asked him a page full of questions. He was so attentive. He was amazing even down to my scar on my neck. The scar is in a natural crease in my neck and you can't even see it. I would trust him with what is dearest to me... my family. I give him 10+++++.
I had triple spine surgery on October 9th 2025. I received little to No follow up Dr Iguchi actually told me to Google physical therapy things to do on my lower spine because apparently so many spine surgeries had been done that PT through Medstar was non existent. I still trusted him and would call about issues I am having. I called his office on February 26th to discuss some issues I am having the same issues that caused me to need surgery to begin with. The office staff at the Rosedale location was wonderful. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Iguchi wasn’t as pleasant as most. I felt very dismissed. Doctors wonder why people don’t have faith in healthcare anymore. Perhaps, listening to the person living in their body would be a good idea. He did show me visuals with his explanation which I appreciate. But I still felt my questions dismissed with a smile.
