Truly I wrote this review after reading some of the negative ones. Dr. Lavallee is one of the most knowledgeable doctors there is. I went to him initially in 2022 with concerns about possible EDS. I discovered EDS after inputting all of my frequent symptoms into WebMD's online body symptom checker, and it had resonated with me. After explaining my journey with facing multiple doctors telling me I *couldn't* have EDS because my "skin wasn't stretchy enough," I went to Dr. Lavallee. Dr. Lavallee evaluated me for ehlers Danlos. He cherry picked diagnostic criteria to adhere to, ignoring/refusing to evaluate many of my symptoms. As a result, he stated I was one point off from criteria in one area, meeting all others, but he couldn’t stray from the criteria (that he wasn’t following correctly anyway). As a chronically ill person, I have had my fair share of medical gaslighting and negative experiences with doctors, but I can honestly say that Dr. Lavallee takes the cake here. I left my appointment feeling unheard, dismissed, and disheartened. As soon as Dr. Lavallee heard that I used the internet to research my symptoms, he made a face and interrupted me to rage against the evils of "Dr. Google". Dr. Lavallee misses not, one thing and listens to everything. The most patient centered doctored we ever encountered. He will call himself, when there is a question. Could not be more satisfied.
