just now New Dr. Lavallee Has been the true Catalyst to my healing journey. Our first visit was in April 2024, Where he officially diagnosed me with Ehlers Danlose. He also confirmed other medical conditions that were assumed/previously diagnosed. I have never had a medical provider as thorough and compassionate as him! Truly I wrote this review after reading some of the negative ones. Dr. Lavallee is one of the most knowledgeable doctors there is. I went to him initially in 2022 with concerns about possible EDS. I discovered EDS after inputting all of my frequent symptoms into WebMD's online body symptom checker, and it had resonated with me. Dr. Lavallee evaluated me for ehlers Danlos. He cherry picked diagnostic criteria to adhere to, ignoring/refusing to evaluate many of my symptoms. As a result, he stated I was one point off from criteria in one area, meeting all others, but he couldn’t stray from the criteria (that he wasn’t following correctly anyway). As a chronically ill person, I have had my fair share of medical gaslighting and negative experiences with doctors, but I can honestly say that Dr. Lavallee takes the cake here. I left my appointment feeling unheard, dismissed, and disheartened. As soon as Dr. Lavallee heard that I used the internet to research my symptoms, he made a face and interrupted me to rage against the evils of "Dr. Google".
