Ours is an old fashioned slowed down medical practice where we treat you after listening, looking,examining, testing and explaining results then agreeing on treatment options. I work for you not your health insurance company.

I have been going to this office since 1981. I don't remember when Dr Hughes took over. I will NOT go there again. I can't get reimbursed for August 2021 visit and April 2022 visit. Dr Hughes office keeps telling me Medicare and insurance have been filled. Medicare and insurance doesn't agree. Now over a year on first charge. He has a new program for filing insurance. Very thorough, companionate physician.
Very knowledgeable doctors and seem to care about their patients.
Rudest nurse ever! Dr Hughes is super nice but forgetful.

I've never EVER had a Doctor listen to me more intently than Dr. Hughes! When I moved from Kaufman to Palestine, TX, I drove 2 1/2 he's to continue to see Dr. Hughes... he's that good. His diagnostic skills are better than most specialists I've seen. And he's more likely to prescribe a supplement before a medicine that has unwanted side effects. Now that I have moved closer to his practice, I intend to see him as my Primary Care Physician again... and hopefully never have to change.
