Dr. Cunningham offers LINX ®, a new laparoscopic procedure to treat GERD. This procedure involves a string of metal beads that are drawn together by a magnet. When this string is placed around the lower esophagus, the magnet pulls the beads together and closes off the esophagus from the stomach.
I had my gallbladder and gallstones removed in early November 2017 by Dr. Cunningham after an ultrasound reviewed possible malignancy. Fortunately results came back normal. Dr. Cunningham not only did an excellent job on the surgery but also was very thorough in explaining the procedure during my pre op visit. He again spent the time to explain to me the results during my follow-up appointment. He is a great surgeon and I highly recommend him.
Dr. Cunningham repaired two hernias for me. His bedside manner is outstanding. He is one of the few doctors that will listen to you, and actually hear what you're saying. I would recommend him.
Conservative, doesn't rush you into unnecessary surgery, but gives you reasonable options and listens to your concerns. He is approachable and reassuring when asked questions. After surgery he follows up with careful attention to all aspects of needs; how you sleep, pain control and intervenes with hospital staff to assure your needs are met.
