I was suggested by a doctor to get an appointment with HHS. Dr. Drakos was the most arrogant man I ever met. I came to him for a second opinion after getting suggested for surgery. He didn't give me a second and didn't explain for a second why he disagreed with the previous doctor. He never told me to follow up and the diagnosis he gave for physical therapy just said unspecified injured ligament. I'm not sure how he is so highly reviewed but I wouldn't suggest anyone go to him.
Dr. Drakos performed reconstruction surgery of my left foot/ankle due to past sports injuries and general misalignments. This was a complicated surgery and a tough recovery, but 6 months have passed and I have just been cleared to begin my return to sports. I highly recommend him and his amazing team for a surgery you may need. Top class overall.
My partner had a negative experience with Dr. Drakos. Still experiencing significant ankle pain, 1 year out from surgery; after prolonged walking he says it feels like he has broken glass in his ankle. Every appointment was kept as brief as possible. Dr. Drakos didn't even remember my partner's name at his post-surgery follow up appointment.
I fractured my ankle in Feb and I called the next business day to schedule an appointment with Dr. Drakos. It was scheduled that same week and once we met surgery was scheduled in two weeks. It was all set up quickly. Their team is amazing!! The surgery went smoothly and I hardly had too much pain. I went from a splint to a cast and from crutches to a walker to a cane. Dr Drakos expertly performed a highly technical OATS procedure which, in effect, solved for the very painful complications I’ve been experiencing since my initial ankle injury 15 years ago.
