I absolutely loved Dr Chames. He was extremely knowledgeable. I believe he has to be one of the best OB’s u of m has. Not one complaint from me!
I had this doctor during my 1st pregnancy and he was terrible! As another reviewer has stated he spoke down to me every time I saw him and he was extremely heavy handed. He told me that I should induce early because "he didn't want to deliver a dead baby". Imagine the stress this guy caused me and my family by not explaining procedures. His techniques must work because he still works for U of M. My baby was delivered healthy at 41 weeks. Guess who showed up to deliver the baby and spread his joy around! If I could give zero stars, I would. This man was dismissive, had zero empathy or bedside manner, and rather than saying something should be looked into further, diagnosed an extremely rare aorta defect in a 20 week fetus and another ultrasound had to be scheduled for a MONTH later. At the second ultrasound, it was found that the baby’s heart is COMPLETELY NORMAL AND HEALTHY. This is absolutely unacceptable for a U of M physician and based on reviews I’ve seen elsewhere, striking unnecessary fear into pregnant women is kind ... read more
