I'm done with Dr. Frane! The first review was right, I felt talked down to, mocked, and chastised! I tried really hard at my last appointment to like her, but she is relentless if she gets a chance to criticize me. I already have high stress and anxiety, I don't need that in my life!
After years of going to her I have had enough. I feel like she doesn’t listen and is condescending. This last visit was my last. You have to trust your provider and I do not trust Dr. Frane.
Dr. Frane seems professional up front. However, when a patient asks to be seen and lets the doctor know they think they might have a mental health issue, the answer from the doctor should NOT be, 'I've always known you've had 'xyz,' I just wanted you to figure it out, first.'On top of it, the doctor should also not talk to patients about medical conditions of relatives (whom the doctor also sees) by playing the game of asking if 'anything else is happening in your family.' Went to see Dr. Wollan after my entire left side of my body progressively lost sensation. I had communicated to her that due to a severe TBI when I was young I couldn’t use or feel my right side very well, so this has been really devastating. She said, “the good news is, it’s more interesting than concerning.” The neurologist that finally diagnosed me with Multiple sclerosis two months later was VERY concerned. Would absolutely never recommend Theresa Wollan.
According to a lung specialist, there were two major errors in my care by Barry. When I first saw her with crazy, spasmodic coughing, she thought I may have a serious fungal lung disease called Blastomycosis. But before prescribing an antifungal medication, she should have first had my liver function tested as this medication can be damaging. Fortunately, I saw a colleague who caught her mistake and had the liver test done. The second mistake Barry made was not having me tested for “Blasto”. Instead, she winged it having me ... read more
