Mariposa is easily the best, most knowledgeable bike shop I've ever set foot in. They design and build steel frame bikes from scratch, have their own paint shop, build wheels, restore all manner of vintage bikes - there is nothing they can't do. The owners, Dede and Michael, are both former Olympic cyclists who live and breathe bikes. I bought my first serious bike a few years ago, a Trek Checkpoint SL5 with carbon wheels.
