History Established in 1935. Originally organized October 17, 1928 as The Yachting Annex of the Marin Golf and Country Club. In October of 1935, the Marin Yacht Club was offically formed for social, educational and recreational purposes, to promote the science and art of navigation, naval architecture, and marin engine development; encourage yacthing and boating of all kinds, develop aquatic sports generally, and provide for and promote the social intercourse between the members.
