I thought the instructors were wonderful and thoughtful. I even stood up on the board briefly a couple of times in the beginning. My main challenge is that I needed a thicker wetsuit, and that was not available for rent at any surf shop in town (I checked). I was so cold after about 30 mins that my muscles froze up and I started shaking. Other petite women (I'm 5 feet) I am friends with told me they need a 5/4 mm wetsuit in water below 60 F. This was my wife’s first introduction to surfing, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Nicki had us up and shredding in no time! I’m so grateful for this class. It really put us on the fast track to progress quickly and comfortably on what I’m sure will be a fruitful lifelong surfing journey.

Nicki and Shannon are the best! I have done the Women's Clinic twice now and will continue to go whenever they have them. Not only do Nicki and Shannon create a calm open environment for everyone but I learn so much about surfing every time I go! Creating this space where beginner surfers like myself can feel comfortable and supported by others is exactly what I have been looking for. Its been a wonderful experience and I highly recommend to surfers of all levels!
