HBR could write a case study on how to provide outstanding service based on my experience with Marin Lumber. We ordered doors for a project and only realized that we mixed up the handing after they'd been delivered (pay special attention to their handing chart -- it's different from what I/my team is accustomed to). This was a mortifying mistake and could have really turned out badly.
