From my very first session with Marie Carmody, I was amazed by her knowledge and thoroughness. She truly meets you where you’re at, with a personable and compassionate approach, and is deeply passionate about helping her clients achieve their goals. She’s the first medical professional who has made sense of my psychosomatic symptoms, taken them seriously, and made me feel genuinely seen and heard. Marie approaches each session with sensitivity and care, and has given me my first real glimpse of hope for a better future.

Terrible experience. My session’s with Marie felt like a police interrogation, I had accusations and threats implied. She misrepresented points I made and when I tried to clarify, she would become angry. I found her to be unprofessional and unpleasant. You might need to get yourself another therapist to recover from her methods. Buyer beware.

What a confusing and painful experience. I’m relieved to know I’m not alone though. I was hoping to learn about myself and heal and instead I feel attacked and shamed as my co-parenting philosophy didn’t align with hers. I saw Marie 5 times over about 2 months. And considered not returning after our second session, (which I shared with her in our third session) but persisted as I thought it was just me and I could learn from her.
