It's a nice neighborhood bar in Bridgeport. I work in Bridgeport, and Maria's has been our after work spot for sometime. Bartenders are friendly and the beer is good. Plenty of good spots for food as well. The bar allows you to bring in food from those establishments. The bar shares space with an Asian fusion restaurant.
I recommend to anyone, especially on Sunday Brunch-Ski. House music, food, and drinks are all fantastic.
Seems to be a more common theme looking at recent reviews but the service here is absolutely horrendous. It’s a cute space and they have a sick patio, but it’s really hard to overlook the terrible service. My friends and I waited for over 15 minutes for a beer on a slower Monday night with THREE bartenders behind the bar. The bartenders, more specifically the heavy set Latino male looked at us and continued to serve other patrons who walked up after we had been waiting. It was quite frustrating.
