I’ll start this review by saying I am very picky about oysters. The moment I taste grit in one is the moment I’ve had enough. This is tenfold when I have had a raw oyster. Maria’s is a game changer. Great service and very lovely staff. Highly recommended, if you look for your oyster fix.
Made a reservation for 6pm dinner on a holiday weekend. When we showed up we could not hear ourselves thinking because of some hip hop dj blasting his tunes at full volume. So the restaurant was effectively a night club except that there was no dance floor or people dancing. That’s perfectly fine by me, except the waitress was extremely unwelcoming, cold and unapologetic, despite us coming with a smile.
We enjoyed our meal at Maria’s Seafood. The seafood tower was fresh and well presented, and both the oysters and shrimp were flavorful. One thing to know is that the shrimp are served unpeeled, so you’ll need to peel and clean them yourself. Overall, a solid seafood experience with fresh ingredients.
