Confident, compassionate, highly skilled surgeon! I had endocarditis which required open heart surgery to replace a valve. We became friends on a first name basis! I highly recommend, best decision I could have made!
Dr. Brizzo is an exceptional person and doctor. I can't give him enough praise; he saved my life, and kept me calm while doing it. He did quadruple bypass surgery on me, and I was more scared than I have ever been in my life. He was always there to reassure me and answer questions. When I was told I needed my aortic valve replaced, I was extrememly nervous. Then I got to meet Dr. Brizzio and Dr. Gonzalez. They are terrific. They explained the procedure to me and assured me they had performed it hundreds of times. They did extensive testing before the surgery ,and when I was in the hospital, Dr. Brizzio stopped in and checked on me.
This man is like family now. He saved my life. I can't express my gratitude enough for his professionalism and bedside manner. He was gentle and kind, patient and caring. Simply an incredible experience. I was also blessed to learn he spoke Spanish and even from my country which made my surgery pre- and post- easier as i was able to speak my native language and feel at ease. But regardless of this he was a blessing.
My husband shocked us all since he was so fit/thin and needed emergency quadruple by pass Jan 2016. We were fortunate to have Dr Brizzio perform the surgery. He was patient with all questions and my worry - before the surgery when I was choking back tears he looked me in the eye and promised to bring my husband back to me - this is something I will never forget. hands of an angel.. Extremely confident and caring... had 4 quads and it is now 4 months and doing pretty well... also in therapy for approx. 2 months, much older so it will take a little more time still have some pains in my right flesh area and down my right side of the rib cage only at times.... marvelous doctor and very happy to see him, he brings a BIG SMILE ON MY FACE
