In 2023, I had a colonoscopy with Dr. M. Cusick for colon cancer screening at her clinic in university of Texas health science center in Houston. During the procedure, she found several polyps, including one approximately 2.6 cm in size. That particular polyp was found to contain cancer cells. Extremely bad experience with D. Cusick and her team. Her assistants were extremely slow and unprofessional. They often ignored calls and voicemails. I booked an after-surgery follow-up appointment, and after waiting two months for the date, I ended up sitting in the waiting room for 90 minutes without seeing the doctor. Very frustrating and extremely unprofessional. In total, I spent at least five hours for this visit, and her team didn’t bother to call or update patients on the delays. I made an appointment two months out for the first appointment of the day. The appointment was supposed to be at 8:20, they changed it to9:00 without telling me. Had to arrive by 8:45, completed paperwork online and then was made to complete more in person. Then was put in a room to wait for over 50 minutes. When I go out to ask what was taking so long they say the doctor was stuck in surgery. No one told came and said anything just left me in a room to wait.
