Only one in town This is a large, very nice hospital but it is the only one in town. So if you have an emergency this is your only option. It is located on the far end of town so you could be very far away if you needed help quickly. But the staff are very nice and friendly. They offer Labor & Delivery if you need that type of service too.

Marian Hospital This is by far the worst hospital around. My family and I have a running joke that we don't care if we are dying, we will take our chances by driving the hour to Santa Barbara Cottage. Marian is infamous for their mess ups. They also do not enforce rules that need to be enforced. They allow people to have tons of family members in the room while a person is trying to recover, even though the rule is that there are 2 visitors allowed. We Can Do Better For a City of 100,000 My girlfriends dad came down with intense stomach pains very similir to labor contractions. He was rushed to the emergency room while my girlfriend and I were at work. His wife texted both of us about what had happened. we reushed over an came to the traige/waiting room. There we asked for him, by his name, and they couldn't seem to find him or know where he was. They even advised us to look for him at the San Luis hospital!!! Unfriendly front desk; Spreading Disease My concern is the front main lobby of hospital. They are so unfriendly like if we are a burden they do not realize that we have sick family and friends and our heart is aching. Also the deseases that are being spread due to Nurses not washing their hands when they come into a patients room. I was at another hospital for a relative and they would wash their hands when they came into the room and when they walked out. It was amazing. Bad Bedside Sadly, most hospitals are understaffed so it's no wonder you wait and wait and wait to see someone. I hurt my back so badly over the weekend that I couldn't wait to see my regular doctor during normal hours. There weren't many people in the emergency waiting room but the wait seemed like it was forever for the very little people there were -- albeit this is typical of a emergency waiting room -- however I couldn't sit or stand up straight because of my immense back pain.
