My husband went to see her for a pain in his stomach that he has been dealing with for over a year now. This doctor didn’t know what was wrong with his stomach or did not suggest getting a colonoscopy or anything. She gave him depression medication without telling him that the pills she prescribed were for depression. The depression pills do nothing for pain, that’s not what they are used for. Dr. Naveed was my Gastroenterologist when I was first diagnosed with a rare liver disease and she was the most kind and understanding person I’ve met in the medical field and I’ve met a lot of Drs. She was the one who had to break the news to me I needed a liver transplant and also discovered a miss diagnosis (as a resident!!!) I always looked forward to my visits with her and if I could I’d still have her as my Gastro. I did receive my liver transplant in 2020, so thank you Miriam!
