I just left Dr. Maria Seabaugh’s office in tears and experiencing an anxiety attack. I do not usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to warn other patients about this provider. What a rude, incompetent individual. After 15 months of awful symptoms and consistently extreme hyperglycemia 200-300+ this girl gave false information, seemed to have almost no understanding of diabetes (let alone a complex case) and would only look to her monitor at data already 9 months old. She was dismissive, arrogant and highly insulting and wouldn’t review updated labs, cgm data, glucometer data etc. stay away!!
Dr. Maria Seabaugh is extremely unprofessional and condescending. I am experiencing debilitating hormonal headaches, and she immediately dismissed me and made me feel as if "it's just the way my body is." Although I believe endocrinologists examine hormones, she didn't even pretend to care about my hormone fluctuations. I left her office crying. It took me an hour each way to commute to her office and I spent less than 5 minutes with her. I would not recommend Dr. Seabaugh to any of my loved ones.
I’ve had hashimotos my whole life and have never worked with an endocrinologist I like as much as Dr Seabaugh. Her bedside manner is very upbeat and relaxed, the nurse that works with her is also incredible. In the last year, she’s helped solve issues I’ve been trying to fix for a decade. I can’t recommend her enough.
Unfortunately, although Dr. Seabaugh has great energy, she is not experienced enough to take care of rare, complicated cases. If you have a straightforward issue, maybe this doctor will be good for you, but if you have serious medical conditions – find someone else. I knew this was not a match the moment she forced me to do a thyroid hormone test in the afternoon, not on an empty stomach, and after I’ve already taken levothyroxine.
