I really liked Dr. Laya. But her staff cut me off my medicine (after taking it for 2 months) without notice, which is irresponsible and dangerous. I have been in total compliance and never gave them a reason to take me off of the medicine. I will be going to Memorial Coorperate to make them aware of my experience. Also the Illinois Department of Public Health and Better Business Bureau. This is not how to care for patients.
TERRIBLE DR. If you value your life or your family members lives...go elsewhere. My step dad has been a patient of hers for around 30 years and he passed of stage 4 pancreatic cancer this week that wasn't even detected til last week...by an e.r. dr he doesnt even know. Every.single.time. my mother took him in to Laya the DOZENS of times they did when he was struggling SO BAD and all she did was condemn and judge my mom for smelling like smoke or being overweight. Her staff will even tell you she only cares about reeming smok... read more
