I want to clarify that this review is only concerning the lab next to the Heart and Vascular Institute of WMC. The two workers at that lab are two of the rudest, least helpful. Medical people I have ever met. I walked in to have a blood test and was informed that all their systems were down. I asked to be given my prescription and they told me I could get the test elsewhere but would not help me with the address. A woman told me she would not use her personal cell phone to look up an address for me and was practically yellin... read more

A close relative was brought to Westchester Medical Center (WMC) by ambulance. But the WMC cannot get access to 100's of pages of medical background info on MyChart. WMC does NOT access MyChart. This means the WMC doctors and nurses have to guess and wait... My relatives MyChart has tests and dozens of notes from her doctors. Worse, WMC refuses to provide info to my relatives two Health Care Proxies. Copies of notarized forms have been provided to WMC. WMC refuses to provide the latest info. This situation is incredibly unpr... read more

The management  here  stinks! They have a renegade staff that is cheerful, polite and seem to enjoy being indifferent to the patient. The telephone staff is something one has to suffer, accept and swallow. You will not be served. WHo trains the staff?  Do they only hire the worst? I called the experience phone number  and of course had to leave a message. Horrible place. The worst management and customer service I have ever encountered and seemingly they care not at all and enjoy being a hurdle you can’t get past. The tenor ... read more

88-year-old mother was rushed to this level 1 trauma center after falling and striking her head on the wall and bleeding. A few hours she was discharged without a band aid or ice pack; however, was treated as a high priority VIP.

Westchester Medical Center is ruining the healthcare at Bon Secours Hospital. They no longer do Wound care, Infusion or Blood work at the Roberta Clinton building across from the hospital. It still states to go there on the website. Also, they no longer use Quest Lab which you don't find out until you're signing in at the hospital so if your insurance uses that lab you have to go someplace else. Be warned that sometimes they only have 1 phlebotomist for inpatient so if you're outpatient you will have to wait or be turned awa... read more

My father is currently a patient there, and it has been an awful experience for the past few weeks. First off, none of the doctors are on the same page we're getting conflicting responses from each of them. They are pressuring my dad to go to go on hospice despite him, saying multiple times to different people that he's not ready for hospice. They have pressured him to do a DNR. They are refusing to transfer him to a hospital closer to home. this hospital is in the same WMC network. our father along with our family have ask... read more

i thought I was thankful to have a full-service hospital in our area. However, i had the need to use their services recently. And now, i could not be more disappointed. Please advise any one in your family to avoid this hospital at all costs. Your life depends upon it. Service is sub-par; non-standard; and ten years behind the times. All they care about, and show in their actions and lack of communication, is trying to charge you extra-high prices for services that they 'pretend' to give you (as long as they can try to... read more
