Booked a load from TX to NV, a day before pickup. Gave clear ETA from 12PM to 2PM. Load was posted as picking until 3PM. Broker said ok. Day of pickup comes, this broker from their agency 3PL Seven says that shipper can't wait until 2PM and will have to cancel. I called the shipper and he says we can pick all day. The guy kept the posting on DAT all day yesterday and today while we were booked on the load. Shipper even told me this is not the broker he's working with. The load was double brokered. We booked the WI-KY with William Obrien on Thursday for Friday delivery, driver got loaded and very same minute we got the email from broker telling us receiver will not be able to unload us until Monday. "looks like they can not accommodatedelivery tomorrow, we are waiting to hear back from them. If not, we will have to send TONU". We never heard back from broker again except when they responded to our email about TONU saying they will send it. It's Monday, no word from them.
Margin Freight Services wasted my time and caused me significant financial loss. They confirmed the load and then failed to honor the agreement, causing me to miss a much higher-paying load. Communication was poor, and the situation was handled unprofessionally. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend doing business with this broker. Carriers should be cautious and confirm every detail before committing.
