I am posting this for all the individuals, in various departments to name a few (Shanai, Scott, Maria, Jocelyn) who have gone out of their way to help me. I hope you know who you are. I am very grateful for your assistance, and I am publicly letting Vassar know.
As anyone reading reviews can tell I am not happy with the service my family member has received from Vassar. When a procedure is schedule, Vassar personnel indicates that it will be between (for example) 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (1 hr 1/2). I have sat and waited for my family member to have a procedure done for over 4-5 hours and all this time my family member has not been able to eat or drink anything. Anyone who is considering having your family member treated at Vassar. Think again! Vassar needs to hire more people. It is unacceptable to have someone waiting to get assistance to use the facility to defecate for 10 + minutes.
If I can give O review for Vassar Security I would. Patient's belongings are going missing or stolen and NO ONE, especially Security, is reachable. Instead, an incapacitated is being told that they are responsible for their belongings! I have other issues with the care of my loved one which I will be documented here so everyone is aware. Vassar you need to do better.
The ER here is not entitled to any stars, but I have to choose at least one to write this review. My father came into the ER here at 8:00pm with internal bleeding. He was put in a room where they ran a hemoglobin number and a cat scan, they then left him for 4 hours before telling us he was actively bleeding, and his hemoglobin was a 5. I had this doctor for 16 years and when I was called for a kidney transplant after being on dialysis 5 1/2 years, I called him several times, and he ignored all of my calls, and he didn’t even have to courtesy to return calls from my transplant surgeon. He’s a horrible, insensitive and unreliable human being. I I would give zero stars if that was an option here.

Nuvance at Sandpit Danbury Connecticut. Spendig 25-30 minutes on hold just for a simple question or appointment is not only unacceptable but rude!! At a minimum why don't they have a callback system so the patient is not wasting sooo much time and frustration.
My name is Leslie Schoonmaker, I was diagnosed with lung cancer March of 2023 and was referred to Dr. Bhora who is a lung surgeon. I have never had the honor before to meet such a dedicated, caring and sensitive doctor, he is wonderful. I had tumors on both my lungs and Dr. Bhora performed 2 surgeries to remove the 3 tumors on my lungs. He was able to successfully remove the cancerous tumors.
