Dr. Riccardi was excellent as a surgeon and I am pleased with the results; general anesthesia did not have the downsides I feared. Post-Surgery Pain Management was NOT ADEQUATE - My PRIOR (open) hernia op at Reading Hosp had gone well EXCEPT the Post-Op Pain Mgmt meds were insufficient and they left me in severe pain over a weekend. So TWICE I emphasized for this operation the need to get going on the pain med script BEFORE the surgery, and twice it was ignored or turned down due to “Penn State Policy.” I explained to Dr. Ri... read more
