Definitely a notch above. Food and service were outstanding. The family couldn't stop talking about it.
Ribs dry/overcooked, shrimp tasted like soap and was quite small compared to other restaurants in the area. Beef Wellington was sub par. Crust flavorless and not flaky at all, meat inside however was good and a drop or 2 of gravy did not help at all in adding any flavor. Potatoes dry carrots dry. Waiter slow . Have been several times in the past few months and have seen the restaurant get more busy. This is a good thing, however it’s becoming clear the staff is having a hard time handling the crowds. Service is slow, bartenders barely acknowledge you or they give you a menu but never return to take an order. The host staff can be rude and unwelcoming during busy times. Definitely overwhelmed by the popularity of the restaurant. We really want to like this place, but most times it’s not an enjoyable experience.
