RecommendedHeard about Mardi Gras Zone advertised several years ago. The wife & I went there looking for unique Mardi Gras throws & they have really unique stuff. Found the Parrot & Pirate bead that was a big hit! Fast forward to the 300th Anniversary of La. & I once again went to Mardi Gras Zone but didn't see the Pirate bead so I went online then called to make sure it was still available & it was! Awesome! Sells everything you could ever think about buying. Fresh cooked food everyday, wood oven pizza, fresh sushi,salads from around the world....frozen drinks with a beer and wine selection. Very friendly and helpful ...Benny the owner is a Legend in New Orleans for his generosity and kindness. Wonderful cakes and desserts....and Orit's fresh baked bread on Friday's .....OMG..... a real Nola treasure. Oh and lots of vegetarian selections!
I not only have had the privilege and convenience of having such a unique store in my neighborhood for the past several years, I now have the even bigger privilege of working there. Benny and Orit treat their employees the way they treat their customers; with respect, concern and kindness. My lease is up and my apartment is no longer available. lots of hard to find oils, condiments and gourmet goods. Free range eggs and local honey, hand tossed, wood fired oven pizza, great deli/cooked food station and then there's beads, costume accessories and a piano upstairs. Have lunch and do a fashion show
