I went to Yale New Haven Hospital's ER with severe shortness of breath, a clear symptom of heart failure. I was diagnosed with pneumonia, based off the results of a chest X-ray. But unfortunately, Dr. Marcolini (the provider who saw me in the ER) assumed that the pneumonia I had was the full cause (despite my symptoms of heart failure) and didn't check for cardiac issues.
