The WiFi is spotty and not very dependable, but it's worth being unconnected for a while just to eat those cookies, which give Levain's Bakery some serious competition for best cookie in NYC.

This bakery and café is a perfect oasis in the 'hood. While their chocolate chip macadamia cookie falls short of Levain's, their other edibles make for a good lunch or snack.
Check out this charming new café along Centre Street in Soho. Order the Roasted beet hummus and squash adorn toast while French magazines hang on the walls.
Think I found the best chocolate chip cookie in New York.
