I had high expectations about Marcello's due to the seemingly good reviews. My experience here was a bit of a let down though. The food was mediocre at best - it was quite oily and rather bland. When I had finished eating, there was still a pool of oil left on my plate, which was also the case with my girlfriend's plate. The service was poor, but I am assuming the waiter may have been new. Excellent Italian food!!! Great wine selection and a fun way to choose your bottle of wine. Our waiter was superb. He even took care of my purse that I left behind. Thank you for a wonderful dinner and for returning my purse to me safely. Lovely Italian food, very generous portions (plan to share a main or take a doggy bag home). Everything was delicious and fairly priced. Service was impeccable, and ambiance/decor very nice. Great wine selection too. Highly recommend.

If you are looking for delicious food Marcello’s is a great find in New Orleans. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Having eaten some great Louisiana food on our trip this Italian restaraunt offered some much needed Pasta. The Crab starter was perfect and the Milanese tasted fantastic. Would definitely visit again!
