I was hospitalized due to a deep dog bite and my thumb was horribly infected. Dr. Scheinman came to the emergency room at LIJ to see me around 11 pm on Independence Day to clean and drain my wounds on my hand. He approached me in a friendly, calm manner and his bedside manner was fantastic. Despite the pain and anxiety, I was very relieved and comfortable with the procedure that he performed. The Doctor has great bedside manners and seems to take pride in his work. He actually listens to the patient explain their condition. He gives you truthful responses. The staff is friendly and they work with you on scheduling appointments.
My experience with Dr. Scheinman has been wonderful. The level of care and compassion was remarkable and very much appreciated. I felt he really cared about my well-being which allowed me to be comfortable and confident in his work.
