The management's mission of caring for residents doesn't exist. The residents are bored but staff doesn't care. It is easier to not do anything. As an RT, if you try to help a resident you are told by the director there is no need to. The hardest part of the job is not being able to befriend, help residents. The cottages are not upkeep. The food served is terrible. The residents need assistance in basic care to look clean, shaved, groomed. They need guidance. Marbridge Foundation has lost its way and vision. The website states "A whole new life." I'd ad ....of misery. The state they welcome feedback from families but they do not. They just want dollars. Some direct care staff are very poorly trained in-house. The responses to residents often assault the very souls of these people with special needs. NOT a great caring community for special needs people. Rather than take care of a problem/ situation, they eliminate the person or tell me to go to their cottage/room. All residents have issues that is why they are there. Sadly, the staff is not knowledgeable nor educated to handle situations. Their favorite words are "go rest". The activities are less and less.
