History Established in 1972. Aptly named, Marabella's Family Restaurant is a place for the family and by the family. With the help of sons Gabriel and Angelo, and especially Aunt Mary, Mom Marabella created menu items from recipes she learned from her Neopolitan mother and grandmother. Lovely and friendly waitress. Really good bread. The food was average. The restaurant smelled funny and had seen better days (like 20 years ago). I got the chicken parmigiana because many reviews said it was good. The chicken itself was good, but the sauce was on the bland side.
The South Jersey shore has always had a real problem: visitors either pay through the nose for subpar food they would never even consider eating at home or they have to spend a small fortune just to feed themselves and their family a decent meal that they usually would get at home at fair market value.
