Absolutely read reviews before coming here: - Staff: Particularly rude compared to other not only Hyatt but every hotel we’ve stayed at. They have an attitude, condescending and absolutely not in accordance with customer service standards. This was consistent across lobby, restaurant (particularly bad) and all the property (except for the pool bar). We had a 3 generation family stay here, needing three rooms for all of us in late July 2026. The Costco promos really helped with the valet costs and the food bills, at least for breakfast. Throughout our entire stay, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Everyone from the valet, housekeeping, front desk, restaurants and even maintenance were pleasant and hospitable. This was a great place to stay in the final days of our Cali road trip. Rooms were spacious and tasteful, though had a slight smokey smell. There was a pool, which we did not know so that was thrilling for the kids. Cafe by the pool to order and eat outside, also a few other dining options. Best part was the location - right across the street from a public beach with a playground. We only stayed one night but enough time to get a swim in, then head across the street to the ocean to watch the sunset.
